PNM Outage Update, April 14 at 3:15 pm

CURRENT STATUS: Crews were able to safely restore power for another few hundred customers a short time ago. There are still about 4,800 customers we're working hard to restore. We expect 3,000-4,000 more customers to be restored by the end of today. Crews were able to safely restore power to Walmart and are working to restore Albertsons today as well. We have about 60 linemen working throughout Ruidoso, including in various canyons, the upper canyon, Cedar Creek Drive, the upper end of Ski Run Canyon, in the core part of town, and the area along Sudderth in the main business district towards Mechem.

Crews continue patrolling by foot and vehicle, repairing and replacing damage done by the extremely high 75-90MPH winds on Tuesday. The repairs include broken power poles, broken cross arms, downed power lines, and a lot more. We do have some information on outages on our outage map on PNM.com/outage but estimated restore times are fluctuating due to the extensive work being done. If anyone in Ruidoso spots a downed power line or power pole, please stay a safe distance away, do not approach it, and call PNM right away at 888-DIAL-PNM which is 888-342-5766.

We know this amount of time without power is frustrating, unnerving, and everyone is exhausted. Please know that we will be working side by side with other first responders until all power is fully restored. #ruidosonewmexico, Ruidoso Fire Department, Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, McBride Fire 2022
