FEMA Disaster Assistance Information for South Fork and Salt Fire Victims

If you have been affected by the South Fork or Salt Fires, assistance is available to help you recover. Please gather the following information before applying for disaster assistance:

  • Your address with zip code

  • Condition of your damaged home

  • Insurance information, if available

  • Social Security number

  • Phone number where you can be contacted

  • Address where you can get mail or email address to receive electronic notifications

Direct Deposit Information

To expedite the delivery of disaster assistance funds, you can opt for direct deposit. Please have your bank account type, account number, and bank routing number ready when you apply.

Stay in Touch with FEMA

After you apply, you will receive a FEMA registration number. Save this number as you will need it for all future correspondence with FEMA.

How to Apply for Assistance

1. Online:

Visit DisasterAssistance.gov to submit your application online.

2. Mobile:

Download and apply through the FEMA app available for both iOS and Android devices.

3. Phone:

Call (800) 621-3362. If you use 711 or Video Relay Service (VRS), you can also reach FEMA through these services.

4. In Person:

Visit a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC). You can find the nearest DRC by visiting fema.gov/drc.
