9/11, September 11th, 2001. If old enough, a day that all Americans remember. A day that changed us as a people and a nation, the way we live, and the way we view the world.
This 16th anniversary of that day is a solemn reminder. Remember we must, lest we forget the innocent victims and brave heroes who were lost that day. Individuals who had committed no crime or offense toward any people or nation. Lest we forget and fall victim to the forces of evil which attacked us that day, evil that would see us destroyed as a people, a culture, and a nation. Our enemy did not forget. Sept. 11, 2012 was a date chosen to strike us again. A day we all know as Benghazi. Four Americans lost their lives that night
Our way of life, our foundations, freedoms and democracy were attacked. Our lives changed that day, some of our freedoms were lost. What was not lost or did not change is the belief in the United States of America and our country’s foundation of freedom and liberty.
9/11 opened our eyes to the evil that hates freedom. It brought about so much pain, grief, sorrow and unanswered questions to such a horrific act. But that act birthed courage, resolve, belief, steadfastness, and unity. Yes it opened our eyes as to who we are as a people and a nation.
United we stand.
