Crew To Begin Geotechnical Engineering Survey In Upper Canyon and Midtown
Beginning Wednesday October 9, 2019, the Village of Ruidoso will be undertaking a geotechnical engineering survey in the Upper Canyon and Midtown areas. This study is to characterize and evaluate subsurface conditions along the proposed project alignment and to provide additional geotechnical data for final design in the mitigation phase of the ongoing FEMA sewer line rehabilitation project. The Village has contracted with Molzen Corbin, who subcontracted with Wood, PLC and Geolines, LLC for these services.
Contractors will perform survey with geophones and collect borings for geotechnical data at select locations. The work will have little to no disturbance with the exception of access to the sites. This work will be scheduled throughout the Rio Ruidoso river-way from the Upper Canyon all the way down to River Trail in Midtown. It is anticipated that the crews will be in and out of each area until the end of October.
The crews will be in vehicles that will be clearly marked as Molzen Corbin, High Water Mark, Geolines or Wood, and individuals will have safety vests during their working operations to assist property owners in identifying them.
If you have any questions about these survey crews, please contact Adam Sanchez at the Village of Ruidoso 575-937-0544, or Phoebe Suina, 505-350-7731 via High Water Mark.
