Village of Ruidoso To Survey Residents Regarding The Links Golf Course and Grindstone Canyon Recreation Areas

The Village of Ruidoso Council approved two surveys created by Research and Polling Inc., to poll the residents and second homeowners of Ruidoso on the future use of the Links Golf Course and Grindstone Canyon Recreation Areas during a special Council Meeting last week. The Village’s Comprehensive Plan, completed earlier this year, identified the need to develop a long-term master plan for these Village-owned properties.

“Over the past three months, we’ve had two steering committees made of up of local residents, working with Village officials and Research and Polling Inc. to develop the set of questions,” said Mayor Lynn Crawford. “Both the Links Golf Course and Grindstone Recreations Areas are important Village assets and we want to have residents’ input on future development.” The Links Golf Course is owned by the Village and is currently leased to a private company that manages the course. This lease is set to expire in 3½ years.

The Links survey will be mailed out on August 10 with the online survey available on August 15 for those who did not receive the survey via mail. The Grindstone survey will be mailed on September 10 with the online version available on September 15.
