The Village of Ruidoso extended quarterly awards and appreciation on January 8, 2021, for the amazing work done by village employees. The following individuals and departments have been selected for their dedication, professionalism, and a job well done.

Gary Goss

Public Works: Gary Goss

  • Gary has been with the Village since June of 2007 and has been extremely dependable. Gary is an excellent mentor to the Water Production staff and ensures they learn the hidden secrets of the Village water system. Gary is always available to fix any problems after hours or on weekends. If Gary can’t troubleshoot and fix the issue then nobody can! He has awesome teamwork skills and will help out wherever needed. Gary is our SCADA extraordinaire! With his education, experience, electrical skills, and water knowledge he is a huge asset to the Village and the Water Production Department.

Sal Beltran

Public Safety: Sal Beltran

  • Sal is a long time employee of the Village and an excellent representative of law enforcement. As a school resource officer, Sal teaches the kids that they should not be afraid of police. The kids know and love Sal! Sal has been seen on patrol having a vehicle pulled over and interacting with the driver in a positive way with a smile on his face. Sal treats everyone with respect even in court and is always able to deescalate any situation with his demeanor. Sal Is not only an excellent ambassador for the PD but also for the Village of Ruidoso! We are lucky to have Sal and the community is too! During these difficult times when law enforcement is put under a microscope and criticized for their actions, we need more Sal’s in the world to show everyone that there are excellent officers out there protecting us.

Robin Parks

Administrative: Robin Parks

  • Robin has always been extremely helpful when employees have questions. She is patient and kind no matter how busy she is and always willing to help where she can. Robin also processes our payroll and keeps us all on track! Thanks Robin for all you do!

Jeremy Nocella

Community Services: Jeremy Nocella

  • Jeremy does an amazing job as a Parks Maintenance Worker. He works hard maintaining the parks irrigation systems and all other maintenance duties. Jeremy really stepped up during the Christmas season to make sure the presentation and lights displays were ready for the public. Jeremy kept up with the inventory of supplies and what needed to be ordered to make sure all the light displays went up on time. If there is ever a glitch or a problem in his Department Jeremy is the first one to say “I’ll take care of it” and he does! Jeremy is a great asset to the Village of Ruidoso!

Department of the Quarter: Ruidoso Fire Department

Ruidoso Fire Department

  • All members of the Fire Department have been working diligently during the COVID-19 pandemic. They are running positive COVID cases on a daily basis and have continued to stay healthy and well. The safety protocols that have been put in place during the pandemic have kept the staff safe. The Fire Department is also helping to sanitize other Departments to keep other staff safe and healthy as well. The Fire Department has played a huge role in educating the public as well as participated in COVID Safe events. They have also assisted with COVID testing. The Department has been able to do all of this and more without sustaining any infection of line staff despite increased call volume. Way to go Ruidoso Fire and thanks for all you do every day!
