Village of Ruidoso Introduces Business Analytic Mapping (BAM) Program

RUIDOSO, NM – April 21, 2021– The Village of Ruidoso Community Development Department is now offering Business Analytic Mapping (BAM), a program that uses mobile analytic software tool to help businesses learn about industry trends and market traffic that is designed to give them insight into reaching more customers. This free consultation is open to all Village of Ruidoso businesses.

“We know many of our local businesses are hurting from the pandemic,” said Lynn Crawford, Mayor of Ruidoso. “The BAM program will help businesses gain insights into their customer base and will enable them to use data and analytics rather than opinions to drive strategy and important business decisions. It will also help our community as a whole to attract and retain successful ventures which will grow our local economy.”

During the 2021 Strategic Planning Workshop, the Village Council determined that economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic is a top priority and revitalization is needed to achieve economic recovery. In February of 2021, the Village Council voted to adopt a Resolution to support using mobile analytics to provide economic revitalization to the community.

“We’ve created an Economic Revitalization Committee – which is composed of Community Development staff, Parks and Recreation staff, and members of Team Tourism,” said Samantha J. Mendez, Director of Community Development. “This committee will meet with local businesses and walk them through the mobile data and customer information for their business. These consultations will allow businesses to understand their customers beyond their demographics and are completely free of charge.”

To sign-up for a consultation, contact Samantha J. Mendez at 575-258-6669 or via email at SamanthaMendez@ruidoso-nm.gov. There is also an online registration form.

Consultations will be held at Village Hall, located at 313 Cree Meadows Dr., with a member of the Community Development Department and Economic Revitalization Committee.
