November 2, 2020 – As COVID-19 cases continue to rise across the state of New Mexico and in Lincoln County, the Village of Ruidoso has released a dramatic new Public Service Announcement featuring local first responders. In the 30-second spot, firefighters, police officers and medical personnel are asking people to wear masks and face coverings to help mitigate the spread of the virus in an effort to protect them so that they can be there to protect the public in their time of need.

“Our first responders are on the front line of this battle, and they have been since day one. They are our local heroes, and they are asking us to do one simple thing to help protect them,” said Ruidoso Mayor Lynn Crawford. “With our local hospital operating at near capacity, it is crucial that our residents and anyone that comes to our Village take this simple step of wearing a face covering to protect themselves and our community. We have to stop the spread of this virus, and we can do it together.”
