Utility Billing Update Information

Please be sure that we have your most up-to-date billing information. You can fill out our Utility Billing Update Form and click the email icon at the bottom of the document to send it back to the Village.  


Track Water Use With EyeOnWater Software

The Village of Ruidoso offers water customers access to EyeOnWater software, a consumer-engaged software that enables utility customers to access and view their usage profiles online. To sign up, visit EyeOnWater.com/signup to create an account.

Call 811 Before You Dig

Planning a project that involves digging? Protect yourself, your neighbors, and vital services by calling 811 at least two working days before you begin.

What happens when you call:
• Utility companies send technicians to mark the approximate location of underground lines.
• Lines are marked with color-coded flags or paint so you can dig safely.

What 811 covers:
• Publicly owned utilities such as electric, gas, communication, water, and sewer lines.

What it doesn’t cover:
• Private lines (for example, from a meter to a house or outbuilding). These may require a private locating service.

Why it matters:
• Safety: Prevent injuries from striking buried lines.
• Cost savings: Avoid costly repairs and potential fines.
• Community protection: Help prevent outages and service disruptions.

New Accounts/Deposit Information

Water service is never "disconnected" when a customer moves or sells a property. The account is transferred from one owner to another. If you are a new owner or renter of a property, please contact the department to have service set up in your name.

Deposits are required on all accounts. The deposit for a new account is due before the transfer date of new owner/renter.

DEPOSITS FOR WATER AND SEWER SERVICE:

(1) Residential service: all new service, reconnection or reinstatement of service, payable in full at commencement or recommencement of service:

  • Renter: $250.00

  • Owner: $150.00

(2) Commercial, institutional, and industrial users: a deposit equal to the greater of:

a. Two months’ average water, sewer and sanitation charges for that business; or

b. As follows:

Meter Size (inches)/Deposit

  • 1½” = $300.00

  • 2” = $800.00

  • 3” = $1,200.00

  • 4” = $1,600.00

  • 6” = $2,200.00

**Deposits are refundable after 24 months of timely payments for residential accounts and 60 months for commercial accounts

Water & Sewer Taps

New water and sewer service taps may be applied for at Village Hall. The cost for these will vary depending on the type of service and meter size required.
