Disaster Loan Assistance Update: Key Deadlines, Resources, and Application Support

PSA

As of September 10, 2024, the SBA has approved nearly $12.3 million in disaster loans, primarily benefiting homeowners and renters.

FEMA officially closed the incident period for DR 4795-NM as of August 20, 2024. This means homeowners, renters, businesses, and private non-profits who sustained damage between June 17 and August 20 can apply for SBA disaster loans. The deadline for submitting physical disaster loan applications is October 19, 2024.

Those affected in the primary counties of Lincoln, Otero, Rio Arriba, San Juan, and the Mescalero Apache Reservation can apply for these loans.

The SBA New Mexico District Office is hosting webinars and a Q&A series for residents and businesses seeking more information about recovery resources from the SBA, FEMA, SBDC, and the IRS. Check the SBA New Mexico Events Calendar for upcoming webinar dates and details.

SBA representatives are also available in person at the Business Recovery Center (BRC) in Ruidoso and at the FEMA/State of New Mexico Disaster Recovery Center (DRC). Below is a list of locations where you can receive face-to-face assistance with your application.
