2024 General Election Information for Lincoln County Residents

As the 2024 General Election approaches, residents of Lincoln County, New Mexico, should be aware of key dates, voting options, and the importance of participating in this critical democratic process. This year’s election includes local, state, and federal races, as well as potential ballot measures affecting our community. Important Dates for the 2024 General Election:

  • Election Day: Tuesday, November 5, 2024
    Polls will be open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

  • Voter Registration Deadline:

  • Early Voting Period:
    Early voting will be available starting October 19, 2024, and ends on November 2, 2024. Early voting locations and hours will be announced by the Lincoln County Clerk’s Office.

How to Vote:

    On Election Day, visit your designated polling place between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. To find your polling location, visit the New Mexico Secretary of State’s website or contact the Lincoln County Clerk’s Office. Be sure to bring a valid form of identification, such as a driver’s license or state-issued ID.

  2. Absentee Voting
    Absentee voting is a secure and convenient option for those who prefer to vote by mail. Request your absentee ballot by October 22, 2024, and return it via mail or drop it off at the Lincoln County Clerk’s Office at 300 Central Avenue, P.O. Box 338, Carrizozo, NM 88301. Remember, your ballot must be received by 7:00 PM on November 5 to be counted.

  3. Early Voting
    If you want to avoid the Election Day rush, take advantage of early voting! Starting on October 19, 2024, voters can cast their ballots at designated early voting locations. Check with the Lincoln County Clerk’s Office for early voting sites and hours of operation.
