Wingfield Heritage House Museum to Celebrate Grand Opening with Ribbon Cutting and Community Event

The Village of Ruidoso is excited to announce the grand opening of the Wingfield Heritage House Museum on Thursday, October 17, 2024. This long-anticipated event will celebrate Ruidoso's rich history and the preservation of local heritage through an afternoon of festivities.

The celebration begins at 12:00 PM with a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Wingfield Heritage House Museum at 2813 Sudderth Drive. Local officials and community members will celebrate this significant occasion and highlight the museum’s role in showcasing Ruidoso’s vibrant past and cultural contributions.

From 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, the museum will host an open house, inviting visitors to explore its exhibits and displays that tell the story of the area’s unique history. This reception allows locals and visitors to connect with Ruidoso’s heritage and learn more about the museum’s future educational and cultural initiatives.

The celebration continues from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM with live music, food, and drinks, offering attendees a lively atmosphere to enjoy the grand opening. The Village encourages everyone to join this special occasion, which promises to be a day of fun, community spirit, and historical discovery.

A shuttle service will be available from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with pickups from the Mashburn Parking Lot behind Midtown to ensure easy access.
