Village of Ruidoso Unveils New Tennis Courts and Playground at School House Park

The Village of Ruidoso’s Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce the completion of significant enhancements at School House Park. After several months of dedicated work, the newly renovated tennis courts are now open for public use, offering a free recreational option for residents and visitors alike.

In addition to the tennis courts, a brand-new playground is being installed and will soon be ready for use. This new playground promises to provide a safe and fun environment for children to enjoy outdoor activities.

These improvements to School House Park have been long anticipated and will greatly enhance the area's recreational offerings. A grant awarded to the Village made the projects possible, underscoring the community's commitment to enhancing public spaces for everyone to enjoy.

Although the tennis courts are open, windscreens are still pending installation. Once they arrive, they will be added, further improving the playing experience by reducing wind interference.

The Parks and Recreation Department is proud of the progress made and looks forward to seeing the community enjoy these new facilities. Stay tuned for the playground's opening announcement, which will be another milestone in our ongoing efforts to improve Ruidoso's recreational amenities.
