Village of Ruidoso Unveils New Tennis Courts and Playground at School House Park
Ruidoso's Parks and Recreation Department has renovated the tennis courts at School House Park, which are now open and free to use. A new playground is also being installed. Funded by a grant, these enhancements have been in progress for months. Windscreens for the courts are on order and will be installed soon. These upgrades aim to improve recreational options for the community.

Important Community Meeting: Provide Your Input on Center Street Traffic Study and Closure Proposal
The Village of Ruidoso invites all residents to participate in an important community discussion on Monday, January 22, 2024. The Parks & Recreation Commission will host a meeting at 5:00 PM in the Council Chambers at Village Hall. Engineers will present crucial information regarding a traffic study and the potential closure of one block of Center Street adjacent to Wingfield Park.
Ruidoso set to tackle litter; enhance public space through Clean and Beautiful Grant
The New Mexico Tourism Department (NMTD) has awarded $45,435 to the Village of Ruidoso through the New Mexico Clean and Beautiful Grant Program for fiscal year 2023. Through this program, Ruidoso will use the funds to enhance public spaces and support local wildlife and ecosystems, among other projects.

Grindstone Boat Ramp Closure
The Grindstone Lake boat ramp will be closed for three weeks effective immediately for the construction of a boat ramp. Boaters can carry their kayaks and boats down the ramp but will not be able to drive down the ramp.
