New Mexico Film Office Announces Feature Film "Fight or Flight" Wraps Filming in Ruidoso
The New Mexico Film Office Director, Amber Dodson, announced today, June 7, 2024, that the feature film “Fight or Flight” has wrapped filming in and around Ruidoso in June.

The action-packed film stars Dolph Lundgren (“Rocky IV”), Michael Jai White (“The Dark Knight”), Scott Martin (“Best Man”), and Charlotte Kirk (“The Reckoning”). Directed by Shane Dax Taylor (“The Christmas Classic”) and produced by Michael Slifkin (“The Best Man”) and Scott Martin (“The Best Man”), “Fight or Flight” promises to deliver thrilling sequences and compelling storytelling.
“Fight or Flight” centers on Sam Hayden, an assassin with a perfect record. His latest mission is to eliminate his legendary predecessor, Charles Managold (Lundgren), who has fallen for his exotic mark and gone rogue. Despite being a cold and professional killer, Sam surprises himself by not taking out Managold when they finally confront each other. Now, pursued by the world's number one hitman, Isaac Provenzano (White), in a deadly game of cat and mouse, Sam must team up with Managold to survive.
Director Shane Dax Taylor expressed his enthusiasm for filming in Ruidoso, stating, "After the success of both ‘The Best Man’ and ‘The Christmas Classic,’ I could not wait to get back to Ruidoso to work with the community to make another great film."
The production of “Fight or Flight” employed over 100 New Mexicans, including 50 background talents, 50 crew members, and three principal actors. This local involvement highlights the significant contribution of the film industry to the state’s economy.
New Mexico's film industry continues to thrive, surpassing a staggering $1 billion in total economic impact for 2024. This figure includes direct spending on production and wages for crew and actors. It also encompasses indirect spending at hotels, restaurants, and various other businesses that benefit from the film industry's presence.
