Village of Ruidoso Prepares for PNM Public Safety Power Shutoffs
The Village of Ruidoso is proactively responding to PNM’s Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) to mitigate wildfire risks. While the Village does not control shutoff decisions, it is working with local partners to keep residents informed and prepared. Emergency plans include resiliency centers, alert systems, and resources for those with medical needs. Residents are urged to plan ahead and stay informed.

Due to the ongoing Blue 2 Fire and predicted high winds and fire danger, the Village of Ruidoso will NOT conduct the regularly scheduled siren test first of the month on Saturday, June 1st. Stay informed via our Blue 2 Fire Information Hub and take necessary precautions.

Village Of Ruidoso To Participate In Nationwide Test Of Emergency Alert System
Ruidoso Office of Emergency Management, in coordination with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) & the Federal Communication Commission (FCC), will take part in the nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and the Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) system at approximately 12:20 PM MDT on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.
