VILLAGE OF RUIDOSO ENCOURAGES CITIZENS TO FOLLOW GOVERNOR’S STAY AT HOME INSTRUCTIONS - MARCH 25, 2020
Mayor Lynn Crawford is urging all citizens in the community to abide by the most recent Public Health Emergency Order that was issued by the Governor on Monday due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The order states that all New Mexico citizens should stay at home and undertake only those outings absolutely necessary for their health, safety, or welfare.
“According to the Public Health Order issued by the Governor, the only citizens that should be out in our community are those performing services that have been deemed as essential services by the state,” said Mayor Crawford. “This does not mean that it is OK for non-essential businesses to start going into their client’s home to perform those services. That puts them at risk, their client’s at risk and our whole community at risk. This is exactly what we are trying to prevent.”
The Department of Health also asks that anyone traveling into New Mexico from out-of-state or out of the country must self-quarantine for 14 days upon their arrival in the state.
To-date, New Mexico currently has 100 COVID-19 cases and one person has died.
