VILLAGE OF RUIDOSO ISSUES EMERGENCY DECLARATION - March 25, 2020
Village Councilors issued Resolution 2020-17 on Wednesday afternoon, declaring a state of emergency for the Village of Ruidoso. The Village is adopting certain necessary emergency powers for requesting aid, expending local resources and requesting State assistance in response to COVID-19.
“By declaring a state of emergency, the Village may conduct emergency measures to safeguard the public health, safety and welfare of our residents,” said Mayor Lynn Crawford. “The Village is also eligible to file for emergency financial resources related to the time spent and supplies used during this public health crisis.”
To-date, New Mexico currently has 100 COVID-19 cases and one person has died.
