Village of Ruidoso Executive Order 2020-09 To Become Effective May 16, 2020 at 8:00 am

On Thursday, May 14, the Village of Ruidoso and the Office of the Mayor Issued Executive Order 2020-09 effective May 16, 2020, at 8:00 am. Individuals, businesses, and other entities within the Village of Ruidoso are encouraged to implement the following safe practices as presented by the Executive Branch of the State of New Mexico:

  1. Retail businesses may operate according to Retail CSPs at 25% fire code occupancy.

  2. Big box stores remain in operation at 20% capacity.

  3. Other businesses may operate according to CSPs at up to 25% of pre-COVID-19 staffing levels.

  4. Summer youth programs may operate with CSPs.

  5. Houses of worship may operate according to CSPs at 10%  occupancy. 

  6. Effective today, individuals within the Village of Ruidoso are encouraged to follow the guidelines issued by the Executive Branch of the State of New Mexico to use face coverings while in public. 

  7. Ruidoso Safe team members shall work closely with individuals, businesses, and other entities to educate them on the proper and effective application of CSPs and the use of face coverings and to encourage the use of the same. 

IT FURTHER ENCOURAGES all businesses, residents, and guests in the Village of Ruidoso to work together to comply with the CSP's and to otherwise protect the health of our community while restarting our local economy.
