Public Meeting Set to Discuss Ruidoso Sewer Line Hazard Mitigation and Stabilization Phase
RUIDOSO, NM – December 29, 2021– A public meeting is scheduled for January 19, 2022, at 6:00 PM to discuss the Ruidoso Sewer Line Hazard Mitigation and Stabilization Phase. The meeting will be held at Village Hall located at 313 Cree Meadows Drive. A Zoom link is also available for anyone who wishes to attend virtually.

The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public of the upcoming Hazard Mitigation and Stabilization Phase of the Ruidoso Sewer Line Project that will be constructed at 39 locations along the Rio Ruidoso from the Upper Canyon to the Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The meeting will include the following:
A presentation by the engineer of the project, Molzen Corbin, highlights the nature of construction that can be expected at the various locations
Discussion of tree and landscaping replacements, excavations, and construction
Information from the Village of Ruidoso and High Water Mark regarding what to expect for easements, access to project locations, and environmental compliance
requirements
Visual aids will be presented to better help the public understand what should be expected with these projects when it comes to the removal of trees and why it will be necessary to remove some trees and not others.
A landscape designer will be in attendance to answer questions and elaborate on the processes and reasoning for the tree removals and other project-related questions. Construction is anticipated to start in Summer 2022.
