Construction Underway at 603 Mechem to Add New Workforce Homes

The Village of Ruidoso is pleased to announce the commencement of construction at 603 Mechem. This project aims to expand our community's housing options, resulting in 10 new workforce homes in May and June.

Heavy machinery is currently engaged in extensive earthwork at the site. Material is being transported to and moved around the property to prepare for the arrival and installation of the new homes. The Village of Ruidoso is diligently managing traffic in the area to minimize disruptions. However, the tight turn at the site presents a challenge that may necessitate brief traffic stops to facilitate the safe movement of modular units onto the property.

We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as we work to enhance our local housing infrastructure. These new homes will provide much-needed accommodation for our workforce and contribute to the vibrancy and sustainability of our village.
