Construction Begins on Ruidoso Sewer Line Interceptor Project - November 12, 2020

Construction on the Ruidoso Sewer Line Interceptor Project begins Thursday, November 12, 2020 as SAK Construction begins installing a special liner inside the existing sewer main to renew sewer quickly and without excavation. Crews will begin this process in the area of Mechem and Sudderth behind Allsup’s. A list of addresses that will be affected can be found on the RuidosoSewerProject.com website.

Crews from SAK Construction have been leaving door hangers with important instructions on residences and businesses that will be affected by the repairs. During this phase of the repair, the liner blocks the connection from homes into the sewer system for anywhere from 4-6 hours. A remote-controlled device will reinstate service to the system once the liner is completely installed. It is important to note that until service is reinstated, the residence or business must refrain from using water as much as possible (minimal restroom usage is acceptable).

Additionally, since the liner is installed through existing manholes, there may be foot traffic and small equipment in yards that contain manholes. Any residents with or questions can contact Brad Schenning from SAK Construction at 602-319-7344. Updates are also available at RuidosoSewerProject.com.
