Here is Lincoln County's Plan to Re-Engage the Economy - May 5, 2020
Mayor Lynn Crawford released today Executive Order 2020-08 providing public safety guidance and Village of Ruidoso participation in the development of a soft blueprint for how Lincoln County’s economy might begin to restart. The plan, a set of criteria contained in three-phases, provides Covid-19 Safety Practices (CSPs) for individuals, healthcare providers, employers, and retailers beginning May 15, 2020, when the amended May 1, 2020, NM Emergency Public Health Stay-at-Home order is scheduled to expire. Please note that by order of the Governor, the State is currently in the Preparation Phase that precedes Phase One. The Village of Ruidoso plan will move from phase to phase in accordance with Governor moving the State of New Mexico from phase to phase as it is deemed safe to do so.
The plan, Reopen Lincoln County: A Plan to Safely Re-Engage Our Economy, was ratified on May 4 at a special meeting of the Village Council and developed in coordination with Lincoln County, The Village of Ruidoso, Capitan, Corona, and Ruidoso Downs. With careful consideration for public health and civil and economic rights, it offers a safe way forward for local businesses that have been battered as the economy reels and residents who are weary of the current precautions.
Intended as a living document to be adapted as necessary, the plan relies heavily on progress in key areas of public health and a complex formula of expert and governmental guidelines.
