VILLAGE OF RUIDOSO TO BEGIN GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING SURVEY IN UPPER CANYON
Beginning Tuesday, December 17, 2019, the Village of Ruidoso will be undertaking the final phase of a geotechnical engineering survey in the Upper Canyon and Midtown areas. This work will be scheduled throughout the Rio Ruidoso river-way from the Upper Canyon all the way down to River Trail in Midtown. It is anticipated that the crews will be in and out of each area by December 19, 2019.
Lane Closure U.S. Highway 70 For Sewer Line Maintenance
Beginning Monday, November 18, 2019, through Tuesday, November 19, 2019, from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm, the Village of Ruidoso will begin performing maintenance on the main sewer lines on US Hwy. 70 beginning at the Mescalero reservation line to Sudderth Drive. The outside Eastbound lane of the highway will be closed throughout the area mentioned above where the maintenance will be done.

Beginning Wednesday, October 9, 2019, the Village of Ruidoso will be undertaking a geotechnical engineering survey in the Upper Canyon and Midtown areas. It is anticipated that the crews will be in and out of each area until the end of October.
Lane Closures for Sewer Line Maintenance
Beginning at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, September 25, 2019, (weather permitting) crews from the Village of Ruidoso will be performing maintenance on sewer lines beginning at Whitlock Street to Raines Road (right before Lincoln County Medical Center) and will continue through Thursday, September 26, 2019.
Water Outage for Malone Rd. Waterline Replacement Project Tie-In
Beginning on Thursday, September 19, 2019, at 9:00 AM the contractor for the waterline replacement project for the Village of Ruidoso will begin the waterline tie-in. Water service will be shut off beginning at 9:00 AM until the work is complete. Affected areas include part of the Upper Canyon and the Black Forest.
Waterline Repairs To Impact Water Service on September 11, 2019 in Hull Road and Gavilan Canyon Area
On September 11, 2019, the Village of Ruidoso water production department will be working on a pressure reducing valve in the Hull Road and Gavilan Canyon Area beginning at 9:00 a.m.. The listed areas will experience low pressure and/or total water interruption.
Village of Ruidoso Begins Additional Sewer Surveys
Beginning September 12, 2019, the Village of Ruidoso will be undertaking additional topographic and boundary surveys for the Mitigation Phase of the ongoing FEMA sewer line rehabilitation project. The Village has contracted with both Precision Surveys and Terra Land Surveys for these services. Survey crews will be in vehicles that will be clearly marked as Precision Surveys or Terra Land Surveys, and individuals will have safety vests during their working operations to assist property owners in identifying them.
Smokey Bear Ranger District To Continue Prescribed Burns
Smokey Bear Ranger District on the Lincoln National Forest hopes to take advantage of recent monsoonal rains and greening patterns to burn piles using prescribed fire in the Gavilan area beginning the first week in September and throughout the fall, as conditions allow.
Lane Closures On Sudderth and Mechem Drives For Sewer Line Maintenance
The Village of Ruidoso has scheduled sewer line maintenance street works on Sudderth and Mechem Drives beginning Monday, August 26, 2019, through Thursday, August 29, 2019. The work will be conducted between the hours of 6:00 PM and 12:00 AM beginning at Alpine Village Road on Mechem to Sudderth Drive right before Lincoln County Medical Center (weather permitting). During these times, drivers may encounter a single lane closure where work is being performed.

December 28, 2018: The Village of Ruidoso is advising everyone to stay off the roads and travel is discouraged, unless you have an emergency. The Village has had all available snow removal resources out addressing the roads and will continue with road maintenance throughout the remainder of this storm. Please stay safe and warm!
Village Offices Closed Today Due to Severe Weather
December 28, 2018: Due to severe weather conditions in the Village of Ruidoso, all Village offices and departments are closed today. All essential personnel including fire, police, streets and solid waste will be working.
Electrical Pumphouse Repairs To Cause Water Interruption
On Thursday, December 20, 2018, between the hours of 10:00 am and 1:00 pm, the Water Production Department will be repairing electrical components at the Pumphouse on Reservoir Road which will cause a water outage affecting homes and businesses on the south-east side of Grindstone Canyon Road between Spring Road and Center Street. Village Offices to Close on December 14, 2018 for Employee Awards Program
Village offices will close at noon on Friday, December 14, 2018 for the annual Employee Recognition Extravaganza. All essential services provided by the police department, fire department, solid waste, airport and utilities will run on their regular schedule.
Construction Begins on Grindstone Campground
The Village of Ruidoso Parks and Recreation Department has just completed the design of a campground at Grindstone Lake. The project work has been advertised, and the Parks Director will be requesting the approval of a contract for construction services to build a campground at Grindstone Lake.
Community Meeting #4 Scheduled for Ruidoso Sewer Project
The Village of Ruidoso and Molzen Corbin would like to invite you to attend a public meeting with the project team as they provide an update on the Ruidoso Sewer Rehab Project. Sewer Line Maintenance Begins Dec. 3 on Sudderth Drive
Ruidoso village crews will begin evening maintenance work on Dec. 3, 2018, during the hours of 6 pm to midnight on sewer lines along Sudderth Drive from Carrizo Canyon intersection to Paradise Canyon.

The Village’s IT provider, Systems MD has seen a large increase across the country in phishing emails trying to scam the public or infect computers with Trojan viruses.
Road Closure on Hull Road
Beginning Monday, November 19th at 8:00 AM, water crews from the Village of Ruidoso will be investigating and looking for a main line water leak. This will result in the closure of Hull Road from Gavilan Canyon to Willie Horton Drive.
Pile Burning Planned for Sacramento Ranger District
The Sacramento Ranger District of the Lincoln National Forest will be burning a combination of hand and slash piles in November and December when conditions and weather are favorable.
