Survey Crews to Continue Gathering Data Through the End of January

Survey crews have been working on gathering more data for the Village of Ruidoso to support the designs for the Hazard Mitigation phase in the Upper Canyon, Midtown, and City of Ruidoso Downs areas. The survey work will continue through the end of January 2020 (note: this date may be extended if weather delays the surveying). This survey work is to gather surface conditions and data along the proposed project alignment and to provide additional data for final design in the mitigation phase of the ongoing FEMA sewer line rehabilitation project. The first phase of this survey was completed in the fall 2019. This is the second phase of the data gathering to fill in data gaps and additional information.

Surveyors may be using wooden stakes and small plastic markers (also referred to as whiskers) to use as reference points for gathering data. The work will have little to no disturbance with the exception of the surveyors accessing the sites.

The crews will be in vehicles that will be clearly marked as Molzen Corbin, High Water Mark, Precision Surveys, Terra Land Surveys, and individuals will wear safety vests during their working operations to assist property owners in identifying them.

If you have any questions about these survey crews, please contact Adam Sanchez at the Village of Ruidoso 575-937-0544, or Phoebe Suina, 505-350-7731 via High Water Mark.
