Village of Ruidoso to Waive Construction Permit Fees for Rebuilding after McBride Fire
On May 3, 2022, the Village of Ruidoso issued emergency executive order 2022-01 to waive permit fees for the rebuilding of more than 200 structures that have been destroyed or damaged in the McBride Fire and wind event of April 12, 2022.

South Grindstone Canyon Culvert Replacement Project
The Village of Ruidoso Street Department will be replacing a culvert on the following road South Grindstone Canyon Road beginning Monday, April 11, 2022. Closure will be in place until work is completed.

Governor signs emergency declaration for Village of Ruidoso
Declaration provides new resources to support recovery from last month’s severe storms and flooding. Governor Lujan Grisham on Tuesday signed an executive order declaring a state of emergency for the Village of Ruidoso. This order aims to provide local officials with the tools and funding they need to begin recovering from the heavy rainfall and flooding that began early last month.

Feasibility Study Public Information Meeting - Feb. 25, 2021

Proposed alternatives have been developed to enhance operations at the intersection as well as provide additional improvements to address access, capacity, and ADA accessibility issues along NM 48 west from US 70 to Mescalero Trail. State extends emergency public health order and issues a severe warning about rising cases.
Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham on Wednesday, July 1, 2020, extended the state’s emergency public health order through July 15 and issued a severe warning about the risk of New Mexico being forced to re-enact more severe public health restrictions in order to curb the spread of COVID-19 across the state.
Effective immediately, Village of Ruidoso to implement Grindstone Lake visitor capacity restrictions.
On Monday, June 15, 2020, Mayor Crawford issued Executive Order 2020-10 to manage capacity at Grindstone Lake under new restrictions and guidelines to ensure visitor safety and welfare in accordance with NM public health orders. To learn more, read the full executive order here.
