The Otero County Slash Pit located northeast of Cloudcroft, NM on Highway 244 is scheduled to be burned on Monday, January 10, 2022. Smoke will be visible from Cloudcroft and along nearby roadways including Hwy 244 and Hwy 82. Please use extra caution when driving in smoky conditions.

Public Meeting Set to Discuss Ruidoso Sewer Line Hazard Mitigation and Stabilization Phase
A public meeting is scheduled for January 19, 2022, at 6:00 PM to discuss the Ruidoso Sewer Line Hazard Mitigation and Stabilization Phase. The meeting will be held at Village Hall located at 313 Cree Meadows Drive. A Zoom link is also available for anyone who wishes to attend virtually.

Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham on Friday signed an executive order expanding eligibility for COVID-19 booster shots to all New Mexico adults as part of the state’s strategy to address rising case numbers and hospitalizations, a trend being seen nationwide. The statewide requirement that face masks be worn in all indoor public spaces, with only limited exceptions and regardless of vaccination status, was also extended, effective through at least December 10.

Workforce Housing 1100 Mechem Drive Fact Sheet

The Village of Ruidoso has put together a fact sheet to address pertinent questions about the project.
New Mexico extends indoor mask mandate
On Friday, October 15, 2021, the statewide requirement that face masks be worn in all indoor public spaces, with only limited exceptions and regardless of vaccination status was extended through at least November 12. The governor, acting upon the counsel and analysis of the state Medical Advisory Team and state health officials, may decide to extend or lift the mask requirement as necessary.

Lincoln National Forest: Prescribed Burn near Indian Canyon Scheduled Sept 30, 2021
The Smokey Bear Ranger District of the Lincoln National Forest will conduct a prescribed burn near Indian Canyon in the Grindstone area on September 29, 2021. Smoke will be visible in Ruidoso and Ruidoso Downs and will likely drift to the east.
Cora Dutton Prescribed Burn Planned for Smokey Bear Ranger District Planned
Fire managers on the Smokey Bear Ranger District of the Lincoln National Forest hope to take advantage of favorable conditions, including fuel moisture levels, air quality, and forecasted weather to conduct pile burning north of Cora Dutton road and about 1 mile southwest of the town of Capitan. Cree Meadows Walking Path Project Update
Crews will be installing a new storm drainpipe in an area of Right of Way along Cree Meadows Drive where there is work being done on the new walking path project. This will result in some lane closures next week.
