Work to Begin on Hemlock Circle Waterline Replacement
Crews are set to being the Hemlock Circle Waterline Replacement Project on Monday, April 30th. The project is expected to take approximately 80 working days.
Main Road Bridge Update #15 - April 27, 2018
Friday, April 20, 2018: Roper Construction continued to level out the bottom of the river on the east side of the river and has backfilled the sewer line. Kimo Construction completed the third row of baskets on the southwest side (upstream) and has started on the Gabion Basket install on the southwest side closest to the bridge (downstream).

Friday, April 13, 2018: Roper Construction excavated part of the footings on the southwest side of the river and prepared it for Gabion Basket installation. Kimo Construction completed work on the southeast side of the river and began installation of the Gabion Baskets on the southwest side of the project.
Ruidoso Moves to Level II Fire Restrictions
The Village of Ruidoso has raisesd the fire restrictions to Level II after low moisture winter.

Friday, April 6, 2018: Roper Construction completed the footings and bedding on the southeast side of the river, and Kimo Construction began placement of the baskets on the southeast side of the river.
Lane Closures for Sewer Line Maintenance
Beginning at 6:00 PM on Monday, April 9th, crews from the Village of Ruidoso will be performing maintenance on sewer lines from the circle to Paradise Canyon Road beginning at 6:00 PM on Monday, April 9th and will continue through Thursday, April 12th.
Sidewalk Repair to Begin on Sudderth Drive
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) District Two will repair sidewalk from River Trail to Country Club Drive on Sudderth Drive in Ruidoso.

Friday, March 30, 2018: GOOD FRIDAY.
Monday, April 2, 2018: Roper Construction brought in a second excavator with a Teledyne to break up large boulders that have been encountered on the southeast footings for the Gabion baskets. Kimo Construction continued to work on the construction of the northwest Gabion Baskets.
Upper Canyon Water Main Break
There has been damage to a 6-inch water line in the Upper Canyon that will affect residents in the area for the next several hours.

Friday, March 23, 2018: Roper Construction assisted Zia Engineering in shooting the Gabion grade and confirmed elevations on the northwest bank of the river. Kimo Construction continues to work on Gabion Baskets on the northeast river bank.
Public Library Announces New Hours
The Village of Ruidoso has announced new hours for the Ruidoso Public Library that will be effective April 16, 2018. The new hours are being instituted in an effort to give the public consistent opening and closing times each day for all library services.

Friday, March 9, 2018: We received word from Terracon Testing labs that the 3-day concrete test passed, and we also received confirmation from Zia Engineering which allows crews to get back to work.

Friday, March 2, 2018: The contractor continued to keep footings pumped out, and construction of the forms has begun. Crew members are beginning the building of rebar baskets.
Village Voters Pass GO Bond
In Tuesday's elections, Village of Ruidoso voters passed the GO Bond with a resounding YES vote by voting 197 For and 28 Against to continue improving the water infrastructure in the Village. In addition to the bond question, there were also five uncontested positions on the ballot including the race for mayor and four open Village Council seats.

Friday, February 23, 2018: There was still extremely heavy river flow with the river running at 22.2 CFS (9,964 GPM).
Monday, February 26, 2018: The river flow was finally down to 9.36 CFS (4,575 GPM), and Roper Construction was able to begin cleanup at the site and reinstalled the HDPE bypass pipe.

Friday, February 16, 2018: Heavy rains event prevented work as the river running at 80 CFS in the morning (35,907 GPM), and by the afternoon it was up to 200 CFS (89,767 GPM).
Main Road Bridge Replacement Update #5 - February 16, 2018
Friday, February 9, 2018: Roper Construction continued to haul off overburden to the Grindstone site to run through the grizzly and separate rock. The contractor is bringing a small excavator with Teledyne to complete rock removal at the north headwall, and George Esqueda from Zia Engineering was on-site doing inspections.
Main Road Bridge Replacement #4 - February 9, 2018
Friday, February 2, 2018: It was determined that a gas line was in the way of the footings for headwalls, and Zia Natural Gas Company was contacted. They made the decision that the line could be relocated, and in an effort to expedite the process, Roper Construction would do the digging, and then Zia Gas would move the gas line on Tuesday 2-6-18.
